I was in Europe last Friday when Brexit results were announced.
I’m not here to pass judgment on whether the Brits got it right or wrong. The EU is an exquisite political dream. Yet many things are wrong with the present-state EU.
Watching Europe’s political leaders react? Now that was excruciatingly wrong in so many more ways.
Successful people know how to mirror. They mirror consciously. They mirror well.
The power of mirroring has been keenly on my mind in the aftermath of the Orlando shootings. Of all the responses to the nightclub attack, here is the one that stirred me the most. It is a sublime tale of mirroring. It took place on a JetBlue flight that carried the grandmother of Luis Omar Ocasio-Capo, one of the club-goers that got killed in the shootings, to Orlando to attend Luis’ funeral. (more…)
If you’re a tennis geek like me you know who she is. 21. Rising US tennis star, in spite of a spate of injuries. Had a great 2015 and is having an equally fine 2016. Made it to the final in Rome, the round of 16 at the Paris Open, heading for Wimbledon.

First time I had a 9-5 job, on the heels of a showbiz career that came with a more mercurial schedule, I was stumped. I wondered, how did people function between 3 and 5 in the afternoon? By mid-afternoon I was spent; I merely faked my way to the end of the day.
